Drawing and Painting Trees
This new course will take you through all you need to know about drawing and painting trees in a variety of mediums. From bare winter trees to summer foliage and autumn colour, from individual trees to groups and whole woodlands! A range of creative techniques will be applied to experiment with, alongside good observation and drawing skills. Weather permitting we will venture outside to paint the real thing in all its variety and glory. All levels of ability are welcome.
From oaks to pines, from bare winter branches to lush summer greenery, we will learn to mix colours and to draw in proportion and with observation.
We will also look at incorporating trees into landscape painting and how they can improve your composition.
A range of exciting techniques will be applied and all materials will be included on the course, however you are welcome to bring along your own materials too.
As we will be painting and drawing outside - weather permitting - a range of outdoor clothing including a painting chair or stool might be useful, however the college does provide stools and easels etc.
