Welcome to Grade 2,

This course is suitable for the beginner who has already recently embarked on the bridge trail. (or as a follow-on from Grade 1: the Absolute Beginner's Course.) Students should know the mechanics of the game and can score.

Thursday Elementary Card Play as Declarer

Friday Defensive Play: Opening Leads

There will be additional opportunities for coaching and play outside course hours, firstly at 5pm for about an hour from Monday to Thursday. Secondly, there are also facilities to play each evening, the Bridge room is open to everyone at Summer School and is a good way to improve your game.

No special preparation or equipment is needed for the course and each topic will be supported by comprehensive handout notes, although you may wish to bring paper and pen for your own supplementary notes. I shall bring a selection of appropriate books which can be purchased during the week if you so desire.
