Outdoor Adventures
Ever thought of taking up an adventure sport? This course will point you in the right direction. A fantastic week of tasters in many outdoor activities: Orienteering, Kayaking and Climbing. There is an element of progression in each discipline, therefore some sessions will not necessarily be outdoors, and will be tailored accordingly. An average to good level of fitness is required.
Participation in adventurous activities entails some risk of injury. All OA staff are suitably trained and appropriately qualified to run all the activity sessions and will at all times proceed in a manner to limit the risk of injury. However, participants accept that accidents and injury may occur.

Kit List:
Monday – Climbing – Marlborough College Climbing Wall, indoors:
- Lightweight clothing
- Water Bottle
Tuesday - Orienteering, outdoors:
- Small Day Pack 15-20 LT
- Lightweight 2-3 season boots or comfortable trainers
- Lightweight waterproof jacket
- Loose clothing - tracksuit
- Water bottle
Wednesday - Kayaking in the pool, indoors:
- Towel
- Swimming Kit
Thursday – Rafting, outdoors:
- Small daypack 15-20 LT
- Water bottle
- Lightweight waterproof jacket
- Trainers that will get wet
- Towel
Friday – Canoeing, outdoors:
- Small daypack 15-20 LT
- Water bottle or water bladder (platypus)
- Lightweight waterproof jacket
- Narrow leg trousers
- Trainers
- Towel
