Posters, Books, CDs, Magazines, Adverts - Illustration is everywhere! Why not try your hand and develop your skill.

Produce your own illustrations for a favourite poem, pop song or short story. Don't worry if you think you're not artistic, learning about colour and composition will make your illustrations exciting and eye catching.

You will be encouraged to try mono printing, watercolour and collage to express your ideas. On the last session we will make a personalized portfolio to keep your artwork in.

I will bring poems and short stories for you to illustrate but please bring some of your own favourites to provide inspiration. These could be anything from poems you may have written yourself to ideas for a CD cover. Have a good look around you in the weeks before the course starts; illustration is everywhere. If you find a children's book illustrator or any illustrations you particularly like please bring them along too.
