Mosaic Creations
In this mosaic workshop you will be able to discover all the basic techniques of this ancient craft and design and make a mosaic panel, working with traditional glass tessera and smalti. You will also be able to experiment with mosaic on glass, to make lanterns and lampshades, as well as on 3D objects such as pot plants. We will explore both the direct method, working straight onto the panel, and the indirect method, glueing image in reverse on paper and then embedding it into the adhesive. Materials and tools will be provided. Suitable for both beginners and those with experience.
Mosaic tessera in a good variety of colours will be provided.
