Jive Alive!

This is a fun and lively course, by the end of which you will have mastered three different dance styles, all of which complement each other and have similarities! The speed of the teaching will greatly depend on the participants taking the course and you will be surprised at how quickly you progress as the week passes by. On the first morning you will be introduced to the rock ‘n' roll and modern jive, the former having set basic steps and the latter being a little freer using your natural movement style with no footwork to learn. On the second morning you will begin the salsa, which is a faster, more complicated dance with a Latin feel and exaggerated hip action! As the week progresses you will recap all three dances daily and gradually extend each routine to add more fancy steps and give you a real sense of achievement. Partners are continuously rotated and even set couples are encouraged to participate as you learn more by dancing with a variety of people and it's certainly more fun!!

Improver/Intermediate Classical Arabic Belly Dancing

It is a graceful, skilful, high art-form, admired and respected by those who understand it. The whole gamut of emotions may be called upon whilst performing: sad, happy, sensual, powerful, giving and caring. The joy for Jacqueline is that she will teach dancers to perform an authentic move such as Camel Walk or Hip Drop, but she encourages the dancer to retain her individuality, so that her own personality shines through. Each dancer develops their own style whilst enjoying the journey, learning the magic of Middle Eastern dance, culminating in a choreographed dance routine for improvers.
