Students will be assessed and split into small groups and the course will cover grammatical, oral, aural and some written aspects of the English language. This will be of a progressive nature for those attending for more than one week. The courses are taught by qualified tutors with experience in providing a programme which is informative, varied, and above all, entertaining.

Bridge Grade 1
For the absolute beginner.
No previous experience of cards is required. Topics: Introduction to mini bridge, the mechanics & scoring, the four suits, value of cards, counting, declaring the contract, elementary card play.

For novice students, who have recently embarked on the bridge trail. Can also be taken as a follow on from an Absolute Beginners course.
Topics: Revision of mechanics, 1NT and responses, Opening 1 Level suit bids and Limit Bid Responses, Elementary card play as Declarer and Defender.

This course is aimed at students with about one year's experience
Topics include: Bidding Balanced and Unbalanced Hands, weak & strong, Defensive Play: Good and Bad Leads, Declarer play in No Trump Contracts.

This course is designed for players with a solid grasp of Acol bidding who wish to add more popular gadgets & conventions to their armoury
Topics include Revision of All 'Two Bids', 5-Card Stayman & Transfers over 2NT, Roman Key Card Blackwood, and Signals and Discards.
