During the week we will divide into groups to sing solos and duets and experience singing different genres with focus on pop and soul. Each person will have the possibility to choose what they prefer to sing and will be put in constellations of maximum five, so everyone will have the possibility and the feeling of being seen! The focus will be set on working towards a performance at the Friday evening party and will include vocal training, stage practice and a lot of fun!

During the week we will work towards staging a scene from a famous musical to be performed at the Friday evening party. That includes everything from learning songs, choreography, making props and dressing up. Every day we alter the activities to make the course as fun as possible. Some parts of the work we do will continue over the whole week (such as rehearsing songs etc.) Let's Stage a Musical will be a fun way to learn how real musical artists work!

During the week students who sign up for this choice will have the opportunity to explore a series of art and craft activities, taking full advantage of the fantastic facilities on offer at the College. Sessions may include throwing pots in the ceramics studio, silk painting, cartooning, silver jewellery making and more! Activities will be led by some of our professional tutors and pastoral team and you will be able to take your creations home at the end of the week.

Hollywood, here we come…or rather, Marlborough College, here we come! On this course, you'll have the chance to learn cool techniques for using video cameras and editing your footage afterwards. We'll try our hands at producing a film from start to finish, creating magic tricks using the camera and making music videos. Each person will go home with a DVD of their work. Whether you've got lots of experience using video cameras and editing software before or none at all, you're bound to learn some new tips and ideas to impress… and even, perhaps, baffle your friends! Sound intriguing? Well, come sit in the director's chair and learn some of the techniques used to create your favourite shows!

Sign up for a series of outdoor activities including: canoeing, swamp challenge, climbing wall, rafting and a Friday finale! All activities will be run by our experienced team of specialist instructors.

Join our fun, hands-on cookery course and learn to cook fabulous, quick and easy suppers guided by our "Let's Cook” tutors. Learn basic cookery techniques, how to follow a recipe, hints on hygiene, kitchen safety, and then, you all get to eat what you've made together before you go home!
